Close over ear, I can't decided. Poll maybe?

So I'm looking for a nice pair of closed over ear cans for up to 400 and I can't figure out what my best options are.

I was thinking

M-100

Sony MDR-1R (mixed reviews about this one thought, some say they love it and others don't think its very good at all)

Audio Technica ATH-ES10

^ I need suggestions for an over ear closed option.

Now at the same time even tho they aren't over ear I'm also thinking

DT1350

Senn HD25-1 II

^ could use more suggestions for an on ear closed option.

Any help is very very appreciated.

The ES10 is on-ear, like the HD25 and DT1350.

I'm assuming you need these to be relatively portable? You're leaving out a lot of larger full-sized closed cans.

I might yea, I can take larger full sized closed cans anyway but portable would be nice. I just mainly want to find the best closed over ears for around 400, might be willing to spend a tad more.

Many people having audiophile urgency, use HD25 - II for portable purpose. in spite of their size, they are excellent sounding at that price range. And for, HD 25 Originals, it has a lovely look.

Well that's always an option but I'm looking for sound quality say over portability, so if they sound good but aren't as portable as a can with lesser SQ then I would still chose the one with better SQ.

Yes of course! It's an obvious option that I was prioritizing optionally. Our Head-fi founder Jude himself uses a hd 25 originals. I don't own this pair but I have friends who own it. They sound amazing, really amazing on lossless tracks, on flat eq settings with the national amp.

for what kind of music?  Do you have an amp to drive them?

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm gonna read up on the 25's and see what people have to say. Cheers!

Everything, which is why its hard for me. I have the Leckerton MK-II

I guess I'd say Rock/Pop/India and Hip Hop
