I have hd598, do I be necessary to get hd600 and hd650?

Hi everyone, I have my hd598, do I be necessary to get hd600 and hd650?
Is that is big diffrence sound with the hd598, or is just small diffrence?

The 50-Ohm HD598s are much easier to drive then the 300-Ohm HD600/HD650.

Do you even have an amplifier that can provide the kind of juice the HD600/HD650 need to sound their best?

What DAC and amp. do you currently use?

I don't know much about that amp but I assume it's able to drive the HD600/650. they probably won't sound as good as they could with a proper desktop amp (no where near their full potential)

 

The difference between the 598 and 600/650 is huge the 598s are great but the HD600s are on a completely different level IMO

Try a Fostex T50rp and mod them yourself, they'll be a heck of match with the HD598.

If you are happy with the HD598, you don't need the hd600 or hd650. The upgrades after the 100-200 dollar mark are marginal at best. The most important thing is to find the sound signature you like the best.

LOL Agreed....if he continues this trend, 4 months later he will be asking "I have the HD 800, should i get the Stax SR-009" wink_face.gif
