Ibasso dx100 +He-500 or He-400

Im ordering the ibasso dx100 for my cousin, do you think an entry level audiophile listener would enjoy teh He-400 or the He-500 on the ibasso?

it can drive the he500 using the dx100's internal amp. go for it!

Great, but im getting this for my cousin for christmas. Do you think an entry audiophile listener would enjoy the He-500 or the He-400?

I imagine either. I have the HE-500. It will drive either. Of course with the 500 or 400 it isn't going to be a walk around portable. For that the Koss Porta Pro is a steal of a phone.
