If I ever send mine in for a battery replacement I'm so paying for the upgrade to stealth or at least a new casing. Bought mine pre-owned so I'd like to support Charles as well as get it more sanitary and ready for many more years of use.

I have no idea what you found to be aggressive in my post. On internet forums, there are usually two main problems that can create misunderstandings:
  • Written word doesn't always convey what a face and a voice can convey in person.
  • The language barrier.

I said that Charles publishing measurements was a good thing (long overdue!). They are, however, incomplete. If you look at my own measurements in my signature, you'll see a complete set of graphs and values for each measurement, and you'll see that I measured all of my gear both unloaded (like Charles), and loaded with two sets of cans, which is interesting because my gear doesn't react the same way with both (showing the effects of high output impedance on non-flat impedance IEMs).

I didn't say or mean anything more than that, and if you still think this is aggressive, please explain why in a private message.

No big deal, I thought it was put in quite a blunt manner but don't worry about it, nothing major.

Sauntere,

Apologies for the delay replying to your post.

I was just being mischievous with the choice of graphic on my Unique Melody Miracle IEM, as it's the Cardas logo in homage to `ole' George.

The good news is that the long awaited Ear Speakers will be released next month - Model 1 will retail at $425 according to Andy Regan (Cardas).

Cheers,

Andy.

Thanks Andy ))

Thanks for the reply Andy... At last, it has been quite a wait and i am looking forwards to them.

Me too.

I couldn't afford the FAD Piano Forte but reckon that the EM 5813 will be a decent enough substitute.

Hi all,

A good (and very trusted) friend is highly recommending the Tera Player to me even to the point that he is suggesting I buy a new Tera Player over his second hand DX100!!

My main use for the Tera will be with UM Miracles (multi-BA and 15.9ohm nominal) so I am concerned that the Tera is not ideal. I have a Tralucent T1 amp which pairs beautifully with the Miracles (and everything?) so could go Tera>T1>UMMs, but would have loved to connect directly.

The UMMs are just right in their bass response when driven well so I am concerned they will become thin with the roll-off that is likely when running direct from the Tera.

In your experiences, should I go for the DX100 (based on direct connection to Miracles) or the Tera?

I believe smial (Andy) has the Tera -miracle combo..

I should warn you that I will not be objective as my Tera stealh paired to black titanium Miracles will be toooo pretty.

The combination is utterly sublime!

There's plenty of grunt from the Tera Player to drive the Miracles. Bass is well defined and thunderous, the mid-range is holographic and cymbals actually sound realistic. The only caveat is that I swapped cables to a Moon-Audio Black Dragon IEM upon receipt, so don't know whether the stock cable is as good. But hey, a cable doesn't significantly alter the sonics THAT much.

Cheers,

Andy.
