  • Like he says himself, there is something wrong with his iPod Touch measurements.

You can almost be certain that no one single player plays well with all cans, is there any?

Well you are an aggressive one aren't you.

It is probably a 24 bit wav file? And on a slow card? I had similar issues with those. It is the slow access times on those cards which cause buffer under runs on the Tera. Charles told me the buffer is very small. What helped me was to get faster cards and create 16 bit wav files.

I ask because although not a bass head i value good quality bass when listening.

Actually i guess it does looking at the second magnified graph.

No, those unloaded graphs don't show any significant bass rolloff.  If you measure it connected to low impedance IEMs (like my 15ohm MH1C) the graph looks like an n with rolloff on both ends while a 300ohm HD580 actually shows a bass boost.  Seems my frequency response graphs were accurate despite the other dire measurements, so I'll post them up later.

I think this might be the problem. I converted the files to 24 bit wav instead of 16 bit. Card wise I think is not the problem since I use a class 10 toshiba SDHC card made in Japan if that helps.. lol..

Thanks for the help :)

What Charles told me it is not so much the speed of the card, but the access time.

Here are some examples test results:

As you can see the results differ between cards and the class does not tell the whole story. With 16 bit files I never had issues even with cheaper cards.

This spirit of cooperation and sharing knowledge is what makes this thread great.

My fellow Tera Player (TP) owners I thank you wholeheartedly. As purchasing your TP was a qualified gamble based on the inventors expertise and initially very few online reviews, so well done you for trusting your instincts and the ears of others.

Cheers,

Andy.

P.S. I'm thinking that we should start an owners club and have an international meet.

That sounds great! Trying out different TP setups would be quite an experience.

I foresee a problem identifying each persons TP.....But if it was in the US I might be able to go.

Won't that basically just be different headphones? biggrin.gif

By the way which email address is it best to use on the Teraplayer website? I tried the 2nd one and no response.

From what I can tell, many users are experimenting with multiple amp/headphone combos.

I get prompt responses from amm.1 (AT SIGN) haan.de
