Charles has successfully used a Transcend 128gb card, so I would guess that the Adata would also work if formatted to FAT32. I used a different 64gb card than he used and it worked OK once reformatted to FAT32.

As long as it's HC or XC it will work, just needs to be formatted to FAT32. SDXC is set to use an extra pin to obtain more availability of memory, but this has yet to currently be used, so right now SDXC cards are pretty safe to say compatible with the Tera Player. I question that link though as that sale seems to show a SDHC 128gb card which can't be. It's got to be a SDXC card to have that much capacity. I usually feel safer buying name brand items to ensure they are going to last as long as possible without failure

I have used ADATA cards before and had no problems. I believe the reason it is marked as SDHC is because according to the product description, it has been formatted to FAT32, thereby losing the ability to store individual files larger than 4gb.

guys can anyone help me?  i looking for a high end DAP  since the only ones i can find in headfi are these threee:

iBasso DX100

Astell & Kern AK100

Tera Player

can you share your experiences if you have both 3 or 2 or even 1

Why do I feel like somethings missing? I can't think of it but their is gotta be something else (has HM-801 fallen since it's replacement is vaporware essentially?) You haven't offered anything to offer you advice on to help you specifically with your purchase. Their are one or two DX100 and Tera Player owners, AK100 owners are still rare as it's a new device

The dap that updates its firmware regulary
post #10 of 486

Tera Player has never and may never need an update to it's firmware. AS a computer science major I have no idea why you want a device that is in constant need for updates when you think about you you want a device that does one thing well, doesnt make any sense that it do it wrong at first and then get updated, should be done the best it can at first and then stopped.

Anyways, The AK100 is still unknown, been less than two weeks. the DX100 has had a bunch of updates but will never leave Android OS 2.2. it doesnt have the specs to handle anything higher with the compatibility issues of the chipset they chose.

You guys are great! L3000.gif

At last a thread for TP owners where we can share our experiences and praise the players sonic qualities without being derided, ridiculed, belittled and generally called nutcases by non-owners because of our enthusiasm for this diminutive DAP.

I'll upload photo's of my TP (serial number 2) soon.

Cheers,

Andy.
