Are the Apple EarPods any good?

I bought the EarPods for $30 online and I want to know if they are any good. I bought these because I wanted cheap portable headphones with a remote. I listened to a friend's pair and noticed they were pretty good but it was lacking bass. What are your opinions?

Same impressions, bass light but aside from that they're OK. Fit for me was non-existent, but I've always had this problem with earbuds, isolation was also not up to par, so not sure how viable they are to portable use. However, for $30 they are quite a decent pair.
