[Help] HiFiMan RE-272 Driver Flex

I noticed recently on my replacement unit that there is a loud pop or click from the driver whenever and every time I insert one of the sides into my ear.  This isn't the usual crinkle I hear in other cheaper IEMs that have driver flex issues.  I can also reproduce this popping sound by pressing on the stock silicone tips creating pressure with my thumb.  It makes this noise even when adjusting it in when it's already in my ear.  I never noticed this in my previous RE-272s.

I mainly want to find out if other RE-272 owners have this issue with their unit?

I hear one distinct pop, and then one shortly after of the driver popping back into place.  I'm extremely worried that this might be a faulty or failing driver or that the driver flexing might damage the driver.  Does anyone know any more about this?  I'm considering replacing this unit again, but this will be my third replacement and I am out of the 1 year replacement period, so I might have to settle for a repair.  I feel like there is at least a volume imbalance, and the sound is a bit muffled compared to the driver that does not have this popping noise, but this may be due to differences in pressure between the two sides.

Please help.  I tried searching for this issue, but did not come across anything regarding driver flex with the RE-272.

Well, even though I'm still interested in what others have to say, I will update this thread, and maybe a mod might close it.

I asked Head-Direct about this directly via email, and they said if I'm noticing audible distortion or uneven sound that they will replace it for me.  Well this was a short lived thread =(

So, just as an update.  Received my replacements, and they have some mild driver flex, this time in the form of a crinkling noise.  Didn't have any of these problems before with my previous RE272s.

If I could just learn to ignore the flexing issue so I can get back to enjoying these IEMs again.
