I am building an aftermarket cable for my HD600's
I bought enough material to make 2 of these cables to make it cheaper.
Components are going to be:
Neutrik 1/4" plug
7' Carane Star Quad wire (blue)
with Black techflex
So it'll look something like that ^
Not sure if I'm using an Acrolink or Cardas sennheirser adapter yet... I have everything except that, but idk if paying $10 for the Cardas will make a difference. Anyone have an opinion?
And I'll be using silver solder
I realize I don't have a lot of rep in this community, and this is my first cable bulid for a headphone. But I've always had an affinity for making/doing things with my hands though (ex-pro video game player, Violin performance major, pro at Legos =) and I've worked on other electronics before. I also have an obsession with making everything look clean and tight.
So I'm only setting this at $60 to pretty much break even.
Realistically I will get these done in about 2 weeks from now.
