I would buy the Vsonic VC02 for that price, from ebay.

Check the VC02 thread on this forum for more details and comments on it.

I'd spring for the Yamahas or the CX200-II. Spend that sucker and get it over with!

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned the Philips SHE3590, check out this thread for review/impressions:

The SHE3590 is the updated version of the SHE3580, but supposedly has the same sound, and only £9.50 at John Lewis.

I think they are just the same

3590 dont have the 'L'  and 'R' marking on them

A minute cost reduction I suppose

You should checkout the Vsonic GR04, I bought a pair for like $45 which is right around 25 pounds UK and they sound very good for the price.  I was actually a bit taken back at first listen because I wasn't expecting them to sound as good as they are.  Now they're quite warm and don't have the same clarity of the GR07 but over all I'd say the sound about 70% of the GR07 which is pretty good for a $45 IEM imo.  I only have like 4 hours on them so after a good burn-in I'm hoping they clear up a bit more because that's really the only down side right now.
