Hmmm...I think Etymotic would be the best choice.

One of my friends says that the dynamic offerings of Etymotic sound very similar to the ER4, which I do believe looking at how their IEMs are reated with that 85% accuracy rating or what ever it is,

I've got the MH1c, and it's ok. Sounds boring, but so do the Etymotics in my ears. I might be coming out of a neutral loving stage, yet I keep looking for more neutral headphones :/

To be honest, look in the For Sale forums and look for a cheap pair of IEMs. They pop up once in a while which lets you get a more expensive IEM for a lot cheaper.

The people on this site are more than trustworthy, so you know they've taken care of their IEMs.

Also gonna throw the RE-0 out there, since it's $50 too (probably less bass than you'd like though).

re0 is only $50 now?! Why are we even talking about any other iem?? A few years ago the re0 was like a god iem at $100!

Looking at reviews by Joker, vsonic make lots of good IEMs. The VSD1 and VSD1S are supposed to be good value, I'm considering buying them myself.

Get a pair of Brainwavz R3, which can be had for $60 on the FS section of the forums.  They are pretty neutral with a large soundstage for an IEM.  The build quality is unbeatable too.

I think I saw someone selling a new A161p on there for <$60 too.  They are a strong competitor to the R3.
