Up for sale is this absolute mint condition classic Zana Deux. This is serial # 70. A tube amp front-to-back, it is truly a glorious sounding icon. 
 
This is one of the original runs and are quite rare. The guys that have these aren't letting go of them. I can't justify having this one in addition to the Liquid Fire. Wife says it's got to go, and I hate to see it go. Craig himself looked it over recently and gave it a clean bill of health and mentioned that this sounded essentially the same as the current production run:
 
 
Except this run includes two small knobs on the top of the amp near the front. This amp is one of a kind in that in that it has separate, adjustable volume pots. This allows you to locate the soundstage with precision, akin to a crossfeed function on amps like the Phonitor. This is excellent for mono and stereo separation problems in recordings.
 
The amp comes excellently packed in the same sturdy boxes Craig uses with the amp, PSU, EC Umbilical, Power Cable, and the stock Russian 6D22S and 6C33C-B Tubes and the new stock issue Tung-Sol 6SL7, very low hours on all of it. 
 
In addition to the stock tubes, it comes with some wonderful extras: It also has two additional pairs of the Russian 6C33C-B Power Triodes, and one additional pair of NOS Sylvania 6D22S (EY500) rectifier tubes. And THEN, it comes with two classics with very low hours on them, barely used: NOS Philips Holland (Adzam) 6SL7GT, and one Brimar 6SL7GT Tube. 
 
New, the ZDSE is $2200 but doesn’t come with the balance pots or all these extra tubes.
 
My fair price is $1599.

Is your ZD made for 110V or 220V use?

It's 110v. I would not think it would be hard to have it switched over? I can inquire if you'd like!

In terms of sound quality? Not much. I talked to Craig, the maker of the amp and he said the difference is negligible. 

 

This is one of the original classic models - pretty rare, they aren't available. This model has the adjustable balance pots that the SE doesn't have. The SE does have a hi/lo impedance switch, but I had no problem driving my low impedance phones at all. Not too much power at all pushing into 38 ohms. 

 

Plus an SE doesn't come with all these extra tubes that are worth quite a bit!
