Are there any E17 Fakes?

I purchased from Amazon from a seller not on the blacklist (DependableResource).

My FIIO Arrived and looks solid and works well, however, the box had the security sticker tag removed, so i cannot use the authentication service.

Are there any fake e17's, or did i maybe get a refurb, etc? Is there a way to look at the device and tell that it is faked?

It is not fake unit, DependableResource is not our authorized dealer and they try to hide the fact that who supply to them so they can avoid any market management about them.

Please don't buy from them, there are so many authorized dealer who can provide better service.

I definitely won't in the future, but i just want to be clear that you are saying it is NOT fake? (It seems that you are suggesting that they removed the security tag so that it is untraceable as to who supplied them? Would it be helpful to you if i provided the SN of the product?)
