Need help in choosing a headphone amp/DAC which would work well with FL Studio

Hello everyone

 

I need help in choosing a Headphone amp/DAC, whether it get a combo (amp and DAC put together in one product) or both separate bits of hardware put together.

 

I have gotten into producing with FL studio and have decided to get the Beyerdynamic Dt 880s 250 Ohm headphones to enhance my productions.

 

One problem with deciding with what to get is latency; as I don't know good/bad the latency on DACs are. This is important to me because I enjoy having a smooth and responsive program because I have a MIDI electric piano connected to FL which I use for playing piano (with the sound coming from a vst in FL since it sounds better xD).

 

My price range is about $200 - $250 Australian dollars. If someone suggests something that is worth a bit more but has better performance I may be willing to go to $300, but generally I would like to stick between $200 - $250.

 

I would like the DAC to be plug and play, not installing drivers etc if possible. I would like a flat response for the amp since I will be producing therefore mixing etc.

 

One more thing. Is it possible to have an EQ when you are using a DAC.
