Drumming albums?

So I've been looking for albums or songs with high fidelity drumming/drum solos or whatever. Most songs/drum solos I find from spotify for example, sound really unrealistic/ not dynamic, they don't sound like real drums at all.

These are just some random "good" examples that I found from spotify:

Ginger Baker and Tony Allen - Drum Solo:

Imo this is far from sounding "real", but the soundstage is pretty nice.

Exploding Head - Drum Solo:

The percussions have lovely timbre to them, otherwise sounds a bit muddy?

Stimming - My Lonesome Drumset:

Love the kick/snare, nice slam, sounds very addictive. Maybe not "hifi" though.

So, anyone has recommendations for songs/albums with powerful drums?

Steve Reich's Drumming is a percussions recording, and it is rather different from the samples you have posted, but the sound quality is beyond reproach

Listen to Mastodon.
Their drummer is nuts, he throws fills in every couple of bars, and solos alot too, but he never overpowers the music.

While I'm a HUGE fan of Mastodon and especially Brann Dailor, the albums are compressed really bad and lack life.  Doesn't stop me from loving them though.

Dave Brubeck Quartet Take Five album, and Time Further Out album.  Joe Morello is the man, and the albums are old school very well recorded stuff.

Killer solo from 1964!

Granted, neither of those Youtube videos sound good.  Just throwing em out there.

Procupine Tree drummer is pretty good and their stuff is recorded quite well.

I had a thread a while back asking if it bugged anyone else that the drummers were mixed left right backwards.  Like you were playing the drums while listening to the band play to you as an audience member of a show..  Hi hat on the wrong side, et al.  Still drives me nuts...
