Using regular headphones as a mic on Xbox

Sorry if this is the wrong section, it had to do with cables and adapters so I thought this would be the best.  I will be posting this in the Headphones section as well.

 

I am getting V-Moda Crossfade LP2's soon.  They come with a cable that includes a microphone.  Would it be possible to rig this to serve as an Xbox mic?

Doesn't the Xbox360 require a lone microphone with a 2.5mm plug?
