Well respected custom in-ear monitor brands include Westone, JH Audio and Ultimate Ears. There are a good few others as well. I would start by looking at which models these manufacturers offer that are in your price range and then use the search function to find reviews of them on Head-Fi. You'll probably find quite a lot of information via Google too.

If you're at the initial stages of considering what you want to buy, I think the best thing you can do is do as much research as possible into the different models and brands.

Obviously your personal sound signature preference will be a big factor in any choice and hopefully reviews and people's comments will help you get an idea of which manufacturer and model will suit your taste best.

The best all-rounder CIEM I can think of is the Unique Melody Miracle.

For that price, I would strongly consider the Audeo PFE232. A well performing universal IEM that competes with many CIEMs. The SE535 is good, but for the price, I think you will fair better if you paid a little more for a PFE232 or a SM3v2.

Then again, you can find better prices for both IEMs at different sellers. Shame you missed the black friday/cyber monday deal. MSRP speaking, the two are only $50 apart from each other, so I find it utterly foolish when people say that the PFE232 is "over-priced". To my defense, I say that the SE535 is underperforming for the price. Cheers
