AC/DC Back In Black!

I just wanted to see others who have this-what red blooded American doesn't? ;), and see if you are also disapointed in the recording quality. I have listened to the original CD, Remastered CD, iTunes Remasted release and all have a bit of warble if you will. It almost sounds like a low bit rate mp3 on the cymbals and certain sections of the album. Tried many sources, headphones, etc, it's still there although less evident on the iTunes remaster-strange. Anyone else notice this? Could possibly the best rock album ever made just was recorded poorly?

Hmm. I don't have it, but typically don't appreciate the 'wall of sound' approach that is common to hard rock like AC/DC. (I had a small collection of ACDC songs given to me... I ended up deleting them all, as they never got play time.)

as per wikipedia:  As of June 2011 the album has sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide,[2][3][4][5] making it tied for second highest-selling album of all time, the highest-selling album by a band (together with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon), the best-selling hard rock album of all-time, and the best-selling album ever released by an Australian musical act.

i love back in black...i don't notice the recording is horrible (i only have the "original" CD so i'm not even sure where the master came from for that).  it's hard to pick out small flaws with such loudly intentioned music.  maybe i'll try to find a cheap copy of another version and see how it sounds just for kicks

It's mainly on the snare drum and cymbals. Sounds like they are 60kbp mp3 if that makes sense. Really evident on Back in Black. I have now tried all version flac-Vinyl, OE CD, remaster, etc. It's on all of them.
