Does a sensitive headphone like the V-Moda M80 benefit much from a portable amp?

I wanted to purchase a pair of V-Moda M80s and a FiiO E6, but I have been reading that since the M80s are a very sensitive pair of headphones, an amp would not benefit much. The source would either be from my desktop or my iPhone 4. It seems to be a popular combination, so hopefully I can get some insight on this :)

Doesn't make much of a difference really, I have one, drive them fine with my Walkman, no need for a portable amp.
