This may be a noob question but I'd appreciate it if anyone could help.

I've been trying to play some 24-bit flacs through some good audio players (Fidelia, Audirvana Plus) on my Macbook Pro. The problem is, some parts of the songs have been inaudible or so quiet that I can't hear them unless I crank up the volume all of the way. Specifically, I'm talking about the first quiet guitar part on Wish You Were Here and most of the cash register sounds in Money, both by Pink Floyd of course.

Now, the problem isn't with the files as they sounded fine when I played them with VLC, so I imagine it might have something to do with the advanced playback features of the two programs I'd like to use.

Anyway, does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this? I want to hear these songs as perfectly as I can.

Thanks!
