V-Moda M-80 or one of the new Logitech ones, either would be good.  If he wants to spend as much as the Studios though, he might as well go for the M-100 because they are significantly better. :P

You got any recommendations for decent cans of the same design as the M80s (for me)? The closed on ear design?

Bass heavy on ears? 

Klipsch Image One maybe?

 

If you dont need huge bass: Sennheiser HD25, Amperior, M80, DT1350
