Amp/Dac for Shure SHR840 Headphones

I'm looking for advice on what amp/dac combo that would work well with Shure SHR840 headphones. I have looked at the FIIO E17 and Ibasso D6, but wanted to see if these work well/safe with these headphones or if there is better options. I will be using them mostly with my Iphone5, Ipod, and a Dell laptop for music only. Thanks!!

Seeing as they are efficient headphones, you certainly don't need to buy an amp that costs the same as the headphone.

 

It should run fine without an amp from your iphone5, ipod and laptop frankly. With the laptop, I would just get off the audio jack on there though unless you're not having any noise issues.

 

An inexpensive second hand Fiio E7 or simply on sale would be cost effective here for all purposes.
