You have a very solid soundcard already, the best of its PCI series.

The X-Fi Titanium HD has a very high quality DAC, better than the X-Fi Platinum, Recon3D cards and Z series cards, and it's not much of a problem regarding the headphone output since that way the whole system gets modular, allowing for much easier customization.

The problem with the X-Fi Titanium HD is the amp is only 32ohm making unsuitable for many headphones. The X-Fi does not have a "much better" DAC than the Z series.

Personally I think the Soundblaster Z (600ohm) is the best option and can be has cheaper than buying a DAC and amp for a Titanium HD optical out. The Zx is also worth looking at if you require a mic since that can also work out cheaper than buying a mic to add to some headphones.
