I took a chance and bought the JBL OnBeat Xtreme the other day, got it for $375 (which I think is a pretty good price here in Europe) and now I'm looking into option on what to feed them with.
I'd be using either MP3 V0 or FLAC. I'm looking for some kinda touch screen device that connects via blue tooth. I just want a comfortable smooth setup where I basically can come home after work, touch the screen and choose different playlists and have the music playing within seconds.
I'm considering:
Samsung Galaxy S3 (but it's quite expensive and might be annoying if people call in the middle of the music playing) (or if there's another cell phone with good audio quality, but way cheaper I can use as a second phone mainly for playing music?)
Laptop (I'm buying one anyway, I'm looking into the new touch screen ones from ASUS, but from what I understand the inbuilt sound chips on laptops leave a lot to be desired, is there a cheap DAC that I can buy and connect to it to get the job done?)
MP3-player (such as Cowon J3) would it be possible to just put one on the table, have it automatically be connected and recognized by the JBL Xtreme and instantly play music through it?
I'm not a big fan of Appleproducts so I'm leaving them out (otherwise they would be the more obvious choice)
Any suggestions and advice appreciated!
