Is the internet about to be censored?

Next week the UN decides on the ability to let all countries have control within their borders. Taxes are the least of our concerns. Flow of information is dangerous. All the unrest is making it impossible to manipulate when the truth can't be controlled.http://www.thestar.com/business/article/1292766--un-internet-meeting-about-who-pays-not-who-rules-geist

That post is two years old apparently, so maybe not an issue?

This has been happening but on a country to country basis. China has massive censorship. US does too. But more scary is getting tagged as a potential threat when one access certain sites. I believe laws have been passed or amended that lets them monitor you without a judge's order? They can use as evidence against you the contents of your computer, the sites that you have visited and the searches that you have performed.

Enough said, I hope this thread does not get shut down for its subject content.

But just in case, IBTL. biggrin.gif
