i know, i have the mh1c, just asking in general. eph-100 is also one i have not heard and is more bass than higher end phones. id think the order would be mh1c>x10>eph-100 for bass, and clarity would be the inverse.
looking for someone looking to "sidegrade" from tf10, which are giving him problems.
from memory only I would say that the MH1C has much more forward mid than the x10, but the x10 has vastly better ergonomics (except for the durability problem)
I haven't heard the X10 or eph-100, but I find it unlikely that the sony's have more bass than both based on what I have read, the MH1c's aren't as bassy as I thought they'd be

Still, you should buy the X10. If you don't like it, I'll buy it from you.
Was thinking about them as C|NET loved them and linked them in their 'best deals of the day'. So they do sound good? I may get 'em for my dad for Christmas... Or they may be my running headphones instead
. Or maybe I will get two! How would they compare to my HD25-II's (in terms of sound)? Not to hijack the thread... Thought it better than starting a whole new thread on the same subject.

Some of the best timbre I have heard in a BA, very natural, rather polite in their sig which is semi consumer focused. (good bass, smooth mids, slightly laid back treble) there's decent amount of bass but is clearly still BA style,(early roll off, punchy) they just sound rather relaxed though, a little to gentle and also they have a a few problems. Firstly the strain relief spilt over time, and secondly they don't go very loud before distorting. Like for cranking out volumes X10 won't do it to well. But for sitting by the fire side with a fine wine they will be fine. Just don't expect rocking out volume levels. If you can get them $80 new I say go for it.
If I could get them for $80 I would buy them again. Good for relaxing.
X10 > MH1C.
