Headphone Amp

Thread Starter
I already have a asus essence STX sound card and a Harman Kardon AVR 110 which both have headphone amps in them. However, I am looking for something better.

My issue is that there doesn't seem to be any sort of guide on how to build high quality headphone amps, and I would like to stay away from kits because I would like to make my own housing.

If someone could possibly give me an idea on how to build the best possible amp for under 200 bucks, that would be awesome.

You should be able to find plenty of "guides' in the following thread:

And...

the CK2III is a good choice for $200 amp IMO.

Could be a challenge for a beginner though.
