usb/optical out for fiio D3, and then for an headphones amp

hi guys

firstly, sorry if this thread isn't belong to here.
this is my near future sound system
PS3 -> Optical out -> Fiio D3 -> O2 amp or Fiio E11 -> Beyer DT990 pro or Ultrasone HFI 580
( I've just ordered the Fiio d3, snd E11 this black friday, they will arrive soon.)

but I want to use this set with my laptop too, however, my laptop doesn't have optical out :-(

so please fill in the blank
laptop usb -> [???] -> Optical out to Fiio D3

I saw something like Turtle Beach Micro ii, Syba usb sound card. Do they work? I don't know much about the optical port, will the sound quality be different in each devices? Or they are the same since it comes out from optical port???

Looks like the D3 has a USB input.

I think d3 use power from the usb port, but not audio signal..

Both, it takes 5vdc and digital signal.

Pin Name Cable color Description
1 VBUS Red +5 V
2 D− White (gold*) Data −
3 D+ Green Data +
4 GND Black (blue*) Ground

Pin Name Cable color Description
1 VBUS Red +5 V
2 D− White Data −
3 D+ Green Data +
4 ID None Permits distinction of host connection from slave connection
* host: connected to Signal ground
* slave: not connected
5 GND Black Signal ground

Thanks...

But I've got the Fiio D3 today. It cannot receive Digital Signal through the usb port. It work perfectly with S/PDIF cable though. 
By the way, I've bought this

In order to use just it's S/PDIF out for the d3.
