Just purchase HRT Music Streamer Pro for my Grado's ....how do i convert the mini xlr to rca?????

Hi just recently purchase some Grado's ps500, with G cush and Hrt music streamer II. I am just demo out the regular Music Streamer 2 till my newly order Music Streamer Pro arrives at my doorstep. I have one problem... and that is ...i'm currently using rca to 3.5 for my grado's. Now I can't use the MS pro unless, i convert the mini XLR on the Pro so i can use my excisting RCA to 3.5mm cables? Is there an easy way? I thought this;1. buy mini xlr to XLR convertor, 2. then buy converter for the XLR to RCA.... but which suppose be male or female? Let me know thanks.

They have just started selling cables for HRT Pro on Ebay also.

I'm curious about this myself.  My Music Streamer Pro is on its way and I can't seem to find any local ( and cheaper) alternatives to the Cardas Mini XLR to RCA adapter.  Are there any other options aside from the site mentioned above?  I would appreciate any help, thanks!

I have made quiet a few cables for the music streamer pro in various forms. On the xlr side you would use pin 2(positive) and pin 1(ground) and terminate the other end the the positive and negative leads to the corresponding rca connectors. That's if you want to ditch the balanced cable completely and only wanted unbalanced use. Or you could purchase some basic 3 pin xlr balanced cables and make your own adapters. With this route you still only use pin 2 and 1 on the female xlr side of the adapter.

Thanks for the suggestion moodyrn, though I'm guessing you'll need to do some soldering to make your own cables or adapters?  For now, I guess I'm looking for something pre-made, hopefully around $50 tops.  Maybe when I go the balanced route later on, I'll try my hand at making my own cables.

Yeah it does involve a bit of soldering. But there are a ton of guides to soldering online and its not as hard as you may think. The only pre made options I know of are expensive.
