Oh and I found out about that p diddy thing in veronica magazine(tv guide), they showed some bijbaantjes of some rappers.

The thing that confuses me the most, is that.. unlike IEM's where you choose a brand/type for the sound you like, you'll instead get something perfectly fitting your ear but no idea what the sound's gonna be like, or implementation to choose from. That is, unless there are those shops around that do make real Fischer/Westone/<put your fav brand here> shells..

There actually are companies that do that.... google or search on head-fi for 'reshell'... IIRC 'Unique Melody' or something similar offers such services.

Think I've found someone else to attend a future NL/DE/LUX/BE meeting.. nephew was hiding his love for music, got some Grado's and talked about the awesome mids. Since I haven't spend much time if any listening to caps, I'm gonna start going over and having a listen to his headphones.

He's currently looking for a proper amp for the Grado's, would the o2 be a good thing for those? Not sure if he's in for such spendings, cheaper (but reasonably well performing amps for the Grado's) would be a welcome reply. Not sure if relevant: he's a guitar player in a serious band, and has a Cowon iAudio 9 as source iirc.

Which Grado? I have heard a few unamped and I think an iPhone can drive the entry level pretty well. The Cowon should suffice.

Never really asked, I'll see if I can get in touch with him soon. He was talking about getting an amp.. that's why I asked :).

Drop by with the Grado's after christmas and you can try for yourself :)

Yea I can finally listen to my christmass present. A Koss PortaPro. :D

Pretty impressive for the price, I'm happy i suggested this a classmate of mine. She really likes it :D

I've also ordered a Philips X1, the description seems like everything I want.

I've listened to the senns hd 600 and 650, I prefered the 600 because the 650 seems a bit muddy and it has recessed highs. Looking at the description of the x1 it seems to be faster that the hd650 and it seems to have more treble.

Merry Christmas to my favorite headphone geeks!

Unfortunately, no new headphones for me. Got a new girlfriend today, though. (Not wrapped up.)

What did you get? (Except for the Koss ^)

Merry xmas everyone!

And congratz with your new girlfriend!

As for the presents. I got a cd from lana del rey, some chocolates (chokotoff), shot glasses, and a nice axe gift box. :)

I'm off to bed now with some portishead. Listening to my koss :)

Don't tell her about your audio addiction too soon! ;)

So far I got a 7G iPad from a Headfi friend in the US, a cool t-shirt from another Headfi friend in Germany, a cocktail shaker (now if only I drank cocktails) and tickets to see Billy Talent in January (Excellent gift, I chose it myself :D )

The X1 is even darker sounding as the 650 at the same time. Portapro is excellent! (you just shouldn't recommend stuff you haven't listened to first :p )

Yea I know that. I wonder if the X1 will be my thing, I really hope so :) If that's not the case I will just return them or sell them.

And about that portapro, I know I should recommend things I haven't heard before but I just believed you guys, she wanted a +-50 euro headphone. I don't think there would be another candidate in this price class. (got them for 28 euro or something)

My Koss PortaPro's are OK again, thanks to negakino sending me his spare drivers happy_face1.gif.

I keep grabbing my B2's on those evenings/mornings like these, actually listening to spanish XRCD music right now and just want to close my eyes, big smile on my face. I'd say that's my Xmas present right here, as I didn't ask for/wanted anything else. Only two real presents I got anyway, and that is a) "Men Business - Everything real men need to know", a small humerous pocket book, and b) weight, of all the food!

Side note, the ear problems with the IEM deep insertion I mentioned in the meeting-thread before, have indeed gotten less and less and no longer experience any pain, damaged eardrums, or whatever anymore etysmile.gif.

Bit late, but.. happy Xmas/Coca Cola Event everyone, and a splendid New Years Eve! beerchug.gif
