V-Moda M80 or the Bowers & Wilkins P3?

Trying to prove a point to my friend. I think the M80's will be better but she seems to like the P3 better. I'll show this to my friend, any help? Also, recommend any headphone if you think she would like it better. She doesn't need a bassy signature so shoot away.

Have you heard both headphones yourself?  The M80s and P3s, to my ears anyway, are on an almost level stage in terms of technicality.  The main difference that will do the impact on decision will be sound signature and preference (as well as wants and needs in a headphone).

Really? There sound is on the same level? I thought the P3's weren't that good. Hm, I guess since she's tried the P3's she should go ahead and buy those.

Don't take my words as absolute, as always, a perception of a headphone is always going to be impacted somewhat by personal preference.  My preference does lean towards the M80 myself, but I see the P3 on the same level as the M80.  The best thing for your friend to do is to test them both out and decide for herself.

I'm not sure where to try the M80s though. There not at my Radioshack to try.mad.gif

The only thing I can recommend is buying the M80 to test it (you are allowed to do this).  If you don't like it, V-Moda should allow you to return it (make sure you double check this with V-Moda customer support though.  Then go to the Radio Shack and compare with the P3...
