Colorfly C3 Discussion Thread - Page 130

Hi Guys,

My C3 just arrived today after a painful, nearly 4 week delivery time! I'm using a 64Gb sandisk card and have copied my .flac library across which is being seen fine by the C3. Now I am aware of the order-by-date that the C3 does in terms of the album folders and that by copying the albums to a new folder, the albums will order themselves alphabetically again based on the date of the file transfer. My issue is that the album tracks/songs within my album folders seem to be in a totally random order. The tracks are named in the following format 01 XXXXX, 02 XXXXX etc so it seems strange to me that they arent displaying in number order. Apologies if this has been mentioned before but I cant seem to find any info online into solving this. Very frustrating. Any ideas?

Alternately if you are running on windows, you can use Fat Sorter to resort, which also does sub-folders.

In short; yes. Although, in doing this upgrade, you'll lose the good looking UI and lightweight in exchange for better sound quality.

Picked up my C3 secondhand a couple weeks ago. Loving the organic quality of the music I'm hearing with my BA 200s!

This UI unfortunately has not become less annoying. Are there still firmware updates being developed?
Ha ha, I highly doubt anymore firmware updates for C3, I think Colorfly are done and dusted far as that's concerned. It's pretty simple though to use, apart from the folder titles scrolling backwards at random. When that happens I back right out to the start and go back in.

What part of the UI is giving you problems? We have work arounds to make life easier but it's more about adapting to the player,

No problems per se, but unless I'm just missing something, it seems to display folders on my TF card in order according to date modified rather than alphabetically. Kind of a pain when I add a folder here and there and they all get piled onto the bottom of the otherwise alphabetical list.

Read my quote in this post, it may help solves your issue. Others use a program called Fat sorter.

This is I what I've been doing and cleans up the folders. Very simple 20 second fix after transferring folders.

Many thanks H20. Will give it a go here shortly!

On a more positive note, Youngblood Brass Band is just sweet through the C3 and TDK BA200s. Loving everything about this rig!

Not sure if I've posted this here.

I made a product photo for C3/BH which you can feel free to use as you want.. I think it's a good idea to show them both paired together.
Really we should of created a thread for it many months ago, however I think word has spread throughout this thread because many people seem to be using it and discovering it still. I still consider for $200 one of the better little rigs you can buy, clearly above Cowon, Apple, any mainstream DAP.
My hisound players give it a run though and DX50 gave it a hard time.

Not sure if you use android phone. When I upload to instagram it saves a duplicate copy of each upload to my pictures folder on the phone called 'instagram'. I also found a site in Australia selling the famous Hifiman RE0 for $40, let me know if you want the link. I grabbed a pair.

Hi,

I could not play FLAC and WMA files on my Colorfly C3. Could you tell me anything about this? "Play error!" appears on the screen when I play an FLAC or WMA file.

Thank you very much for your support.

Le

I believe the c3 doesn't support 24/92 format. Is your flac in 16 bit or 24 bit? Im sure we have members here who are knowledgeable in audio who can help you out.
