Actually C3 is very picky on particular amp. Not every amp will work well with C3.

In my case, the C3 sounds worse (lost all the detail, muddy) when it is hooked up with GoVibe VestAmp.

In other hand, the iPod classic sounds much better when it is hooked up with GoVibe VestAmp. (Using LO)

I have an 4 songs EP (flac). First song is at about 1500kbs while the others around 8-900kbs. They all play well on the PC, but the first song doesn't play on the C3. Neither on an iRiver. Anybody has any idea why? It's just an horrible white noise. The rest of the songs are perfect.

Well, you might try converting it to mp3 or just reduce the bitrate though it shouldn't be the problem as most of my audio is in the 1000-3000 kbps range and plays fine on the C3

How can I reduce the bitrate? Without converting to mp3 if possible.

Well, if you're still going for lossless then you won't be able to reduce it much - you can either convert it again to flac using slow/best/high compression or try converting it to Wave. What is the quality of that flac file 16/44.1? Are you sure it isn't 5.1 and not stereo coz such a low bitrate shouldn't be an issue for the C3

No, it's not - it's 24-bit. The C3 can play only 24-bit WAVE files but not FLAC, so you just convert it to 24-bit .wav and it will play

Ah, I see. Thanks a lot! Btw, can you recommend me now a simple software to do that? :) dbpoweramp is ok?

It should be fine - I kinda gave up on using separate software coz I had some issues, so now I just convert my music straight from my AIMP3 player.

I've ordered mine for $45.00 trying my luck and it seems the listing has been now fully removed from eBay. It's not even possible to access it in the history of my purchase to check the item description... And the seller has now no more items on sale on eBay. 

eBay suggests to wait 10 days after the expected delivery date (which by the way is not listed anywhere for this item, not even in the shipment confirmation) and fill a claim if the item is not yet received. So I guess it will be very unlikely that this one will show up at the end.

Does anyone know if C3 requires any burn in period? I think this dap is too bright and lacks some bass. It is interesting that equilizer differences are more audible than the other daps I use. Rock and jazz are way too bright and normal is lifeless. No bass, no treble. Maybe equilizer settings are set wrong (software). I think C3 needs serious fixes about sound software. I don't like the sound I am hearing. I think on flat eq this dap needs +1 db on bass, +0 db on mid and at least +1 db on treble to sound really flat.
