seems crazy doesn't it. there is obviously the same 'noise' between tracks problem on both players yet only the c4 is getting looked at.

I contacted them about my C3 not playing .flac after the firmware reload, now all FLACS have to be renamed .fla to get recognized.

A woman named Lily replied with a make sure my files are in such and such format... I replied to her with a more descriptive message about having to rename the files and havn't heard back...

It would be nice if they open sourced the C3's firmware and gave us a data sheet on their chip. biggrin.gif

I contacted them and got no response at all. rolleyes.gif May I have the email address please you used?

How about we all send them email and ask to have the pop noise fixed and stop that backwards scrolling!

We must work a team!

sounds like a plan! surprised there is no official colorfly rep on these forums given how many users there are

If we can Rockbox C3, this would unleash the full potential of this player.
By the way, who is the firmware guy to do this?
I am really excited about it!

Don't get your hopes up...

I doubt there will ever be a Rockbox for the C3 as there is no information available on their main chip.

There is here somewhere. They wished us all a happy new year.

Solved go HERE

/rant ON

I don't care about backward scrolling or click's and whistles pops and hisses... I just want to play "GD" flacs

/rant OFF

Ok the woman I had corresponded with is Lily Han who mails from Colorfly.FAQ@gmail.com

I just sent here an email again about my having to rename all my .flac files to .fla so they will be recognized... mad.gif

I rolled the firmware back to 1.0.0.2 and the problem still persisted... Very very strange, as there were .flac files that I had played when I first turned it on... anyway back to 1.0.0.3

I also found this forum that has a LARGE Colorfly section and a whole pile of complaining about firmware updates and such.

This place also has the Colourful official product discussion group.

You'll have to launch it through chrome or google translate...

Would be nice to have someone here who was fluent in Chinese to join up and get the lowdown to post back here.

That is all I have...

Thanks for the email address when I get time I shall write to them. I also suggest anyone else interested sent an email too.

I shall check out those sites also. I just feel surely we're not alone in this with the bugs that need fixing. Just how much attention Colorfly want to put into the player is the question. I mean...C3 is fiarly popular, and with populairty will become more demand to fix things. I just hope they see our point of view!

So everyone, get in there and sent them an email. let's express our thoughts!
