Colorfly C3 Appreciation and Discussion Thread - Page 124

I personally have never had my c3 just freeze or doesn't want to turn on without a reason. All the times I've had to use a pin it was because it ran out completely out of battery and when it runs out of battery this happens occasionally. Hasn't happened for months as I usually charge it after 12 hours of use and don't let the battery run out of juice completely. When you use the pin press it and hold it for a few seconds as sometimes a quick poke doesn't do it.

Usually it will power on again after pressing the reset button, just a quick press, I spam it a few times to have a decent work out, very satisfying to press. Mine did this on the first day, and I was very upset about to return it, then the seller told me about massaging the reset button. My player never froze again for many months after.

In my year of ownership it's probably happened a total of 8-10 times. Such a cool little player though, really is to cool for school

Lol again. Yeah, I seem to recall that the last time it happened, it came alive while jabbing the reset. So this time when it didn't work I was verging on getting concerned. But then I plugged it into power again and presto. So, we're back to being too cool for school again :)

Generally, when mine freezes, I just push in a pin (not a paperclip, a pin) and make sure by feel that the point is dead center. Then I hold it for 10-25 seconds, or until... It Lives!  Once I had to plug it in and then do so (give it a few minutes to charge first).  My freezes usually happen while it's playing, the lcd has info on it but nothing works.  I pop out the memory card and then reinsert it, and all but once it's started up again.  It froze when power ran out (dead screen) and when I upgraded the firmware (normal, apparently).  Once in a while I do a reset just to clear its pipes.

You have removed the four screws on each corner? We had a member do a review on the C3 and showed us all the internals, he didn't explain how he took the board out, but I'm pretty sure he just removed the screws. I know I saw it completely apart.

I've done this, and can't do more than this. And removed the other 4 screws, and can't removed the board. i saw the LCD cable bind with the board.

Have you lifted the battery off to see if there's any remaining screws beneath it?

the battery stick with the Board, so i can't pull it off. too hard, the battery bend a little when i tried to pull it off, so i didn't do that anymore.

still looking for fiio x3 vs colorfly c3+external amp. any clear winner ?

rarely my colorfly c3 last used button triggered continuously .

eg. if i used next button, after some time it triggers automatically caused to player to play next, next, next ......

is it known issue or any solutions for it?

is any problem with the screen protector?

i installed the screen protector that i got on purchase.

Take off screen protector.  Make sure no buttons are being pushed.  Go into menu and make sure you haven't mistakenly set up the play mode incorrectly (there is a setting to play a portion of each track).  It should be on Play All.

I had to completely remove the board when I drop mine in my pool. After you removed the screws on the board you just need to pull the board. It's connected with a scare connector in the middle to the touch keypad. I do not recall if their was another screws under the battery??? Try at your own risk.

I'll see if I can re-open mine to confirm later tonight. Maybe

I'm hoping Colorfly releases an update to the c3 with physical buttons and a lineout.
