does it matter? for just 100$ there is nothing like C3, period. no need for comparison. my C3 stays along with Rwak and incoming dx50, hopefully they can coexist peacefully with each other biggrin.gif

Well it does matter, especially for those who want to buy one player and be done with it getting the best for their money, unlike us who seem to never find an end in this hobby. Looking over beside me I have 1,2,3,4,5 DAPs and 2 more coming even I find that a little insane.

Better be careful Ginny, there's a new kid in town, from what I'm reading is slipping under the radar, one member rating it higher than DX50.

See if you can work it out. ;-)

Yeah, that un-named one is interesting as well. I might have jumped on the 50% off sale if I wasn't already so happy with the C3/BH.

Edit: not sure if this would be a deal breaker for me though: "Storage capacity...................The built-in 8GB, expandable to 32G"

I'm not exactly sure what the above means, but if it doesn't support 64GB SDXC cards, it wouldn't work for me.

Edit2: ok, I see now that it would support the SDXC cards (formatted to fat32 or course), so 64GB would be viable. Game on!

Well I got mine used for about $135 USD. I just check on amazon.jp and it would be $135 GBP plus shipping for you.

Does this have 24/96 playback? Or does it downsample?

With my recent trade, I now have eight DAPs...certainly more than I need...lol. And yeah, several of them just sit there most of the time.

Here they are.

Supported audio format:
WAV:32-48KHz 8-24bit
FLAC:32-48KHz 16bit
APE:32-48KHz 16bit
MP3:8-320Kbps
WMA:8-448Kbps

I've played 48Khz/24bit WAV files with great success.

You know you have a problem when you have two clip zips lol! :beerchug:

Seriously though, I love my rockboxed clip zip. It's perfect for biking or kayaking etc. Sounds pretty darned good for $30 to boot!

I have a few Apple players, but I didn't bother counting them.  :gs1000smile:

Lol! Where is the "Head-Fi 12 step forum" when you need it!

Hmm, now that I think about it, I have 5 daps if you include my 5 year old transcend mp3 play, my SG2 phone and SG tablet. Naw, I'm not going to include any of them, so I'm back down to 2 daps. 12 step forum narrowly averted!

Hello, the C3 is really tempting for portability and sound, but I have some questions:

1-Does it pair well with the UE-900?

2-How about the bass with the UE-900?

3-Is the C&C BH2 combo will bring a bit more bass, is it necessary with this combo?

4-Will 320 kbps mp3 sounds fine with the C3 or do it needs to be fed with FLAC or WAV to really shine?

5-Would I be enjoying the DX50-UE900 or X3-UE900 combo?

Thanks in advance!

Well, I didn't include my Galaxy Tablet or my phone either.
