theres an appreciation thread for the c&c bh, which a lot of people say gives a synergy with the c3, also read or search for it in this thread. my fiio e17 does a good job but has dac as well

Has anyone with a C3/BH2 combo like mine been able to compare the sound quality to an X3, AK100, DX100, AK120, or especially a 901 to see if there is an obvious sound quality difference? I am currently looking at the DX50 and the 901 as a possible upgrade, but the C3/BH2 combo sounds so good already that I am afraid it would not be much of an upgrade for the investment.

I tried the C3 with my D5000 and Twinster is right - it's not a good combo.

Got my Chris_Himself Hybrid (copper/silver) cables for my TF 10s and am very happy.  More floor to the sound, really nice mids, and the highs aren't breaking up/scratching.  What started out as a quest for a better player than my iPhone 4 has now spiraled up through a C3, a B&H CC, a silver connector cable, and now iem upgrade cables.  I. Must. Stop. Now!  gs1000.gif

Hey olddude what was the cost of that cable?

With a fancy plug (oyaide straight end) and standard (non-colored) wires, $110. $85 + $5 shipping without the plug (+$20). Took about 3 weeks for turnaround (he's busy right now).

NOTE:  I went to get a link for you, he's raised the price by $10 for the cable, it's now $95.  Still worth it, I can hear the difference from the stock cable.  Just as I can hear and feel the difference between the stock C&C connector cable and the silver plated one.

Looks pretty awesome! Ordered a cable a few days ago for my TF10s. They pair well with the C3,yeah?

I already liked the TF 10 with the C3 (using a C&C amp with it).  The new cable just makes it better.
