Matrix mini i

Hello, I have a couple question about the Matrix mini i. I have been told that the volume control on this unit will control the analog out (for controlling a pair of studio monitors) Is this correct?  Secondly I don't see a switch anywhere Like fixed/variable. Is it always set to the line out until you plug in a headphone jack? Then the volume knob controls the headphone out?  Also is thier any other dac/amp products in this price range that offer so many features? I haven't seen any. Lastly Who is a good vendor to purchase from. (in case I have an issue I want someone that will take care of it)   Thank you
