I'm putting DT770 32 ohm back on the table...I've heard them before and I know I like them, only problem is finding them.

the problem is you want portable / transportable, with at-home like quality, and thats difficult. Like really. A rush of new closed back, circumaural portable designs are out. And I followed the denon threads with the launch of the D600 and D7100 religiously. The D600 is overpriced, generally below the D5000 in SQ, but still not bad, has lots of midbass, but lacks subbass, is even more coloured then the previous denons, but otherwise may suit you. They definitely didn't go down too well with most of the people, but they are the only one in the range thats not a failure.

Good luck then.
