I'm selling these beautiful vintage 'stats from 1976. From what i've been able to glimpse of their capabilities- They're have a unique bass response for a 'stat that is very robust and can handle double bass and dunstep types w/o breaking a sweat down low. They're not as fast and resolving as the Staxes i've had but still better them most dynamics. certainly at this price point. Finally, they sound very natural (as in timbre) thrugh the bass and midrange but upper mids and treble are recessed, tough this is likely in large part due to an inadequate ampliflication on my part- These require more voltage swing tham my humble Parasound Zamp can give via the adapter box. Physical condition is quite pristine actually- I'd give it 8/10 conservatively simply because of it's vintage status. But the superb build quailty of these makes them essentialy time proof with proper handling. The patented diaphgram consturction Sony Develpoed for these also makes them supposedly immune to the bias drain syndrom that plagues other electret designs. The'yre fully functional- No channel imbalance and fade-outs with these. Just the recessed highs that i'm sure a healthier amp would amend, I simply don't have space for somethinf more substantial.
