Looking to buy a pair of headphones

Thread Starter

I am looking to buy a pair of headphones.

Price range around 150
I would prefer a pair of portable headphones
I would like punchy crisp bass and still have great highs and mids
I listen to more of this type of music http://soundcloud.com/eos/winter-solstice

As you can probably tell I am clueless about headphones, amps, and whatever IEMs are. Any help would be appreciated!

Philips is a leading brand in headphone industry. They have large range of headphones with so many features. According to your requirement my personal favorite is Philips Fidelio M1. The best part of the headphone is its sound. The sound is non invasive with a great pair of speakers. Also it is in your budget.

Interesting, never thought Philips was a leader. I would say Audio Technica offers one of the best cans at about $150 - $200 with the ATH-ESW9. Very forgiving and great SQ
