N00b Question: Would this ruin my V-Moda Crossfade LPs?

Hi,

I honestly don't trust myself to know where or not I have ruined my own headphones, so I'll describe the situation in detail triportsad.gif. Maybe someone with more experience with this product can guide me.

I have owned a pair of V-Moda Crossfade LPs for almost a year now. I use them for about 1 hour a day, not too much. I had them plugged into my HP G61 Laptop while watching a YouTube video. I only need the laptop volume to be around 10/100 when I use the headphones on the computer.

Anyway, I left them plugged into the laptop until I came back to show my friend a video, but I had forgotten they were still plugged in and turned the laptop volume up to 90/100 on my computer before I realized that they were still plugged in. Would this sudden increase in volume ruin the speakers of the headphones permanently? I am worried that they will not sound the same now; I've listened to them afterwards and I think they still sound OK, but then again I think the sound might be more crackly than before.

Thanks for reading this somewhat silly inquiry,

A quick burst shouldnt affect the sound. Its likely just in your head.
