Frogbeats Custom-IEM Appreciation Thread - Page 11

No chance of that at the moment. Longterm sick = no funds for toys.

But if hardy74 tries something like a DX100 or something else with a known low-impedance output, it'll be interesting to see if his impressions of the C4's sound signature change.

I'm humble enough to accept it if his impressions don't change; it's just that I feel he should at least try and see.

So you guys who already have your C4 and 5's... did you have to pay for duties or anything like that?

I hope I don't. In one email, david said he'd cover it for me.

That could be interpreted in more than one way :P

It's been over 6 weeks since David "reported" of my impressions being processed. DEC28-FEB10. Oh well. I would definitely have requested rush order if I knew it would take that long. Hopefully, as their company gets bigger, the production speed will increase with it.

Anyways, great start to a (chinese) new year.

Yes, especially since your above post, mentioning a great start to the Chinese new year is, by coincidence, your 888th head-fi post!  tongue.gif

Wow, thanks for catching that. I would have never noticed. Definitely saving that image.

I guess this year, I'll be "fa fa fa" ing

My impression reached him on the 18 Jan (3 weeks later than yours). Does that mean that I will have to wait at least another 2 months more? eek.gif

Tbh, I forget that I have CIEMs being made. IMO, this probably the best way to deal with the super long wait. No use fussing over it too much.

I did forget that I had a Frogbeats incoming on many occasions until whenever I visited Head-fi. I did paid for the C4 back in Dec so it has been a long wait already.

. I am getting anxious to update you properly as well. They are nearing completion - I just wanted to let you know about our process a bit more:

The reason for the slight delay here is that we have part of our factory in China and therefore right now it's Chinese New Year (which is only partially affecting our work) so we're having an overlap of a few order completions due to this. We're working hard to get them all pushed out and the CIEMs should be completed shortly.

Got an email from David...looks like it'll be my 7-8th week waiting

Great advice. beerchug.gif

Actually, David is actually more responsive now to my emails than he was during my order back in August. redface.gif So you can imagine how panicked I was for my order. This time around sending the C4s back for a reshell, I'm thinking about it as little as possible - I find it helps the wait immensely.

Here's hoping they make big bucks and use that money to hire a customer service rep who has the primary (enviable) function of responding to emails from worried buyers!

For me, it's not so much of worry than of anxiety. The WANT of having them now. Immediate gratification.
