So I finally narrowed down some active reference monitors in the sub $200 didn't know it was possible but I can't seem to find any reviews comparing the two. I have listened to the AV40 a friend has a pair and compared to PC Speakers I am using now I heard some instruments clearly that I was not hearing before or just not as clear in a song a listened to often, I liked the quality of the AV40 but if there is a possibility that the Samson Mediaone 4a or the Studio GT are better I would op to get those.
I would take a recommendation for any other comparable 4" reference monitors I also came across the Behringer MS40.
