How much will semi-open gaming headphones leak?

I'm looking for a pair of cheap headphones to use while gaming, as I find that my Sunrise Xciteds are uncomfortable when worn for long periods of time. The Samson SR850 and Superlux HD668B come highly recommended, and seem to be about in line with what I'm looking for with one caveat: They leak. I'm mainly concerned about having them cause echo while I'm using VoIP, and about bothering other people at home. I've been told that they don't leak that much, but I'd like to get some more opinions. So how much do these headphones leak?

If the people are in the other rooms of the house, I really doubt it would bother them.

Even in the same room, where they can hear your audio, I can't see it bother anyone that much.

May depend on how loud you like your game.

(maybe safer to stick with semi-open headphones)

My family's other two computers are in the same room, and my parents get offended when they hear friends swearing. My brother sits about 10' away from me, and my parents' computer is about 13 - 14'. I don't normally have the sound excessively loud, but VoIP calls can sometimes turn into shouting matches.

Guess you need closed headphones, maybe Sony MDR-V6.

Those headphones do look quite nice, but I don't really want to spend more than $50. Can you give me any recommendations at that price point?

Having taken a look around the internet today, I've seen the JVC HA-RX700 and the SteelSeries Siberia v2. I'm about ready to buy the JVCs, but the Siberia caught my eye. It's had some rave reviews, and I'd be willing to spend the extra few bucks on them if they are as good as some reviews say. They look like they are open-backed, though, which could be a huge turn off for me.

 

Edit: The SteelSeries website actually lists the Sibera v2 as a closed headset. It also says that the mic is uni-directional, which would be a huge plus, meaning that others on VoIP can't hear my brother, who is often in a seperate VoIP call at the same time.
