Full Headphones for Classical

Hi, I'm looking for a good set of full headphones for Classical music (Noise-cancellation, Surround sound, No preference for color). I hope it comes with a travel case. My budget is around $300. TIA!

It will be used primarily on a Macbook.

what you are asking for does not exist. No surround sound headphones are good, and ANC headphones are not very good for the price. For classical, the AKG Q701 is probably a very good choice.

Thanks, Any other options?

How does that compare to the Bose QuietComfort 15? I believe that also comes with a travel case.

TIA!

oh, if you will be traveling, then i guess you need closed headphones. Closed headphones that do quite well for classical are: AKG K550, Beyerdynamic dt770 Premium, Denon D2000, V-Moda M100, and Audio-Technica A900x.

If that's not what your looking for, then what and where will you be using them.

All of them except for the A900 and the D2000 isolate very well in that it make the QC15 nearly obsolete, IMHO.

I like my A900x a lot for classical music, but I would not travel with them. They have big cups and the wings. You'd need a huge case to put them in.  For travel, I'd want a pair that folds. You'll then be able to buy a case separately if the headphones don't come with one.
