Also, it can really cut down you time with the learning curve in this hobby by asking people questions. They may not always have the "only correct answer" but it is a starting place as is this site. Finally, you will have the opportunity to hear a lot of interesting gear that you read about on this site. This is a rare opportunity.

X2.........very well put. See you at the meet Grevlin.

X3 Danny. If anyone hasn't taken a serious look at that list do so. There is some serious stuff showing up there.

I've alphabetized the headphone list in post #2,  let me know if I've missed anything.

Just got my K702 65th anniversary in today.  I think you guys are gonna like this one.  I honestly feel it's a solid step above the K701 I used to have, even out of the box.  If you ever felt the K701 was too bass light or sterile, this is the one for you.  I think AKG could have a real classic on their hands....   Well, at least I'll have the meet as a sanity check biggrin.gif

Sweet, looking forward to hearing it!

Well, for all you HE6 lovers, and I'm one of them, I have decided to put my EF6 amp up for sale at the Meet. I am only doing this as I am satisfied with using my HE6 with my Moth. amp.  By the way, the K1000 also sounds great with the EF6.

Well, I'm officially in.

My (surely highly anticipated tongue_smile.gif ) offerings* to the meet will need to be removed from the list. I'm not sure if my pair of LCD-2s, my iphone, turntable, or my cmoy amp were ever included in the lists though.

*JVC HA-RX700 (open mod)
*Beyer DT 770 (80 ohm)

This really sucks. I was really looking forward to this. Any chance it could be rescheduled? Or do another one some time soon? I know it's a big production to pack up, unpack, pack up again, and carry around all this gear. I have no idea what it took to set the space up (thanks again fatcat). Would anyone (maybe those who also couldn't make it to this one) be willing to come to Winston for a meet? Maybe in the summer? I could look into finding a space here.

I'm sorry I can't make this one. I'm an NFL fan and already have plans for the afternoon. Too bad it wasn't on Saturday. I would have loved to come, I've gotten back into headphones/Head-Fi lately with just getting my HE-400, and would have been nice to meet some others in the area, and check out alot of phones/amps I have never heard (and would have loved to check out the McIntosh gear too).

Put me down for a meet in the Winston/Triad area if there's ever one planned.

I'm planning on attending.

Since I didn't see them on the list, I'll bring my Grado GS1000 and Ultrasone ED 10 as well as a

custom built amp.

Any Beyerdynamic headphones showing up?

I'm wanting to try out the DT 880's or 990's as my possible 2nd pair.
