Akai 1730 D-SS 4 channel surround deck with some really cool old JVC 4 channel headphones.

For the budget minded I also had a sennheiser HD 590 with a Stefan Arts Equinox cable I never listen to.

Hmmm, I might have to try out HD-590 cable on mine at the meet.  I've always been curious to hear a better quality cable on it as the one it comes with stock is quite thin and flimsy.  I rarely listen to mine though either, I've only kept it on sentimental value as it was my first real headphone I bought from starting to read Head-fi around 2006.

I think there should also be some type of printed record of who's bringing what, as well as a printed list of what is being sold or traded.  As items are sold and/or traded, we should use a pen and indicate who the new owner is of which item, just to be sure there are no discrepancies or issues regarding missing or stolen gear.

Well, it appears I won't be able to make it to the meet after all. Some weird family death-related event has come up. Sorry if this causes any confusion. My (surely highly anticipated ) offerings* to the meet will need to be removed from the list. I'm not sure if my pair of LCD-2s, my iphone, turntable, or my cmoy amp were ever included in the lists though.

This really sucks. I was really looking forward to this. Any chance it could be rescheduled? Or do another one some time soon? I know it's a big production to pack up, unpack, pack up again, and carry around all this gear. I have no idea what it took to set the space up (thanks again fatcat). Would anyone (maybe those who also couldn't make it to this one) be willing to come to Winston for a meet? Maybe in the summer? I could look into finding a space here.

As to another meet later on, you might want to start a separate thread on one for later in the summer and just see what sort of response you get.

After, several months of wait my m stage JUST SHOWED UP. Guys...im falling in love all over again. Anyway, I think it sounds incredible. But I'd like to put it up against the famed O2. Anyone game?

Agreed. I noticed that the output impedance of the m stage is 5. I suppose this shouldn't make much difference with higher impedance cans but i wonder about lower...and then again, the O2 and magni are under 1. Huh....comparisons comparisons.

Don't "try". Consider making it a priority to come to the Meet. They are rare happenings, like once every 1-3 years. It is a great opportunity to get to know people in your geographic area with a common hobby/passion. Also, it can really cut down you time with the learning curve in this hobby by asking people questions. They may not always have the "only correct answer" but it is a starting place as is this site. Finally, you will have the opportunity to hear a lot of interesting gear that you read about on this site. This is a rare opportunity.
