I have a pack of assorted cables and adapters I carry around with me just in case I run into audio equipment at goodwill. I'll have that. Includes a 1/8" female/female connector, a couple 1/8" male/male cords, couple 1/4" to 1/8" adapters, couple 1/8" to 1/4" adapters, a dual RCA female to single male RCA, and a dual RCA female to 1/8" male.

While I am not bringing my turntable this time I can bring some vinyl. I've got about 800 now so it's a fair bet I can bring something of interest if We stick with the popular rock categories or a few classicals. I have a fair amount of te new Beatles remastered and a few MOFI.

At past meets I've always found it difficult to keep track of who's who. Some, most actually, wear a name badge but only with their screen name displayed. I'd like to make name tags for all the Head-fiers, friends/significant others who will attend our meet That will have their Avatar, screen name and real first name. Now I know some of those attending, but not all, so I'd like everyone to PM me their name(s) and I'll make badges. I thing calling someone Alex instead of Fatcat would significantly contribute to the camaraderie which is an important part of any meet.

Hey all,

 

Just wanted to note that a few of my items will be for sale at the meet.  This is due to the fact that I recently acquired an HE-6 and have fallen in love with it.

 

I am selling my Hifiman HE-500, my La Figaro 339 with both stock and rare Tung-Sol 5998 tubes, and the HRT MusicStreamer II+.  

 

I may not have the HE-500 with me at the meet if I manage to sell it in the for sale forums for anyone looking, but I will definitely have the LF339 and MusicStreamer at the meet, for anyone that wants to try the HE-500, or any headphones for that matter.

I can't wait to compare the LF339/MSII+ combo with my Darkvoice 3322/MSII combo since LaFigaro and Darkvoice are so closely related. I expect good things from that LaFigaro ;)

I am looking forward to hearing the RSA SR71B.  I am thinking about the Intruder, but want to hear this awesome "Ray Samuels House Sound" and make sure it is right for me.  I am also hoping to get some quality time with LCD2 and LCD3.

 

I was also telling a friend about my upcoming road trip and he thought it sounded like a lot of fun.  So I will be bringing a +1.  His name is Rich.  He is a fellow music lover, but currently not a member here at Head-Fi.

I have ordered parts for an AMB Labs CKKIII build that I will try and have finished by the meet.  In any case, I would love to talk diy if there are any other builders attending.

I should know in the next week or so which Schiit stack I'll be selling at the meet. I'm giving the Modi and Magni a bit more time first, then gonna switch back to Bifrost and Asgard to see if I miss them or not.

Just an update:  The HE-500 will not be for sale, as a head-fi friend of mine has reserved the right to purchase them, however for the sake of anyone at the meet that was interested in listening to the HE-500 + LF339 pairing, I've told him that I will sell them to him after the meet o2smile.gif.  So, the HE-500 will be at the meet!  (The LF339 and HRT MSII+ will still be for sale at the meet).

 

Also, upon receiving and falling in love with the HE-6, I've decided to let go of my V200 and HD800 as well, since I really want to transition to speakers.  They will all be at the meet, but another head-fi friend has priority on the V200 already.  In replacement of the no longer for sale HE-500, the HD800 will be for sale at the meet, for anyone that tries it and likes it at the meet.  If there is no interest, they will likely go up on the for sale forums following the meet.

 

God, I hate this hobby...

Hi All,

 

three things I want to mention.

 

1)  I haven't heard from JWahl & Friend, Nimbostuck14 and Daverich4 with names for badged, please PM me.

 

2) I've put together a cigar box full of cable adapters, XLR-to-TRS, TRS-male to 2 TRS female for side-by-side phone comparison, 1/4"-to 1/8" TRS, RCA-to 1/8" and a 15' TRS extension cord.  I'll have them at the meet for everyone to borrow.

 

3) I'll try to get a picture of the room today. what we'll have is a blocked-off section of the Dinning Room. If the movable wall is in place you'll have an idea of the size and look of the venue. I think everyone will like it.

This is the room we'll be using. It's setup for dinning right now, for us there will be table cloth covered 8 ft.tables lining both side walls.
