Got them in my ears (sort of) ? what's up with the plastic sheath at the end of the cable ? I was going to move it down the cable but it feels tight and I don't want to break it ! Took Soreson's advice and ordered some comply tips so far the sound is really great ! The acoustic Alice In Chains is jar dropping good no coloring apparent

Ok got it figured out I think they just bend to conform around the ears. Don't know what to do when people show up tonight because I don't really want to take these puppies out of my ears ! The sound is just clear whatever was put into the studio is what you get no background artificial noise whatsoever !

The plastic at the end of the cable is the memory wire.  You want to bend it so it goes around the back of your ear.  Some people like them, some people don't.  I like the Heir Audio ones, they aren't cut too short like the ones that were on my W4R :p

I'm currently having fit issues with the left earpiece. It just does not twist in correctly or comfortably. The right earpiece fits in perfectly and is extremely comfortable.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

(5) fit --- in my opinion, the Tzar 350 wipes the floor with the ER4 in terms of comfort, as I believe fitting the ER4 is tantamount to undue violation of my ear canal (don't accuse me of not being used to the "second-bend fit" because I am used to it), with HiFiMAN bi-flange tips, I get a great, deep seal with the "Ai" form factor and everything feels comfortable.

My left ear also seems to not fit as well as my right ear with the same exact tips. My friend who tried also said the same thing, in the end he said his left ear was painful.

Experiment with tips. I got the best result with 2 different tips but the form factor was just not right for me, hence the stealth build

I didn't care for the Heir tips but the Comply t-500 isolation tips work very well

Don't know if I should like this treble peak or not...

Edit: Definitely cannot stand the treble peak after a decent period of listening.
